A House of Soccer and Safety

In this 2020 project we solved a client's puzzle: How to fit a series of leasable spaces in to narrow pre-approved parameters to make this community facility a bankable development?

The result is a soccer club house that takes
the form of a slender 'lockable' box. We prioritised adding shaded seating and public park space in to a programme which also incorporates offices and a caretaker's flat, as part of the City of Tshwane's Safety Promotion through Urban Upgrading programme in Mamelodi East. We worked with raw and minimal finishing to keep the design robust and economical.
